Information we collect

When you send an enquiry, the form can collect your name, company, email address, telephone number, product and fill information, bottle and closure details, output requirement, project message, consent confirmation, source page and basic anti-spam timing data.

Anti-spam controls process a time-limited security token, submission timing, honeypot fields, IP-derived rate-limit records and a one-way duplicate fingerprint. These temporary records are held on the hosting server and normally expire within six hours. No third-party CAPTCHA service is used.

Depending on the hosting configuration, standard server logs may also record an IP address, browser information, requested pages, time and technical error information. Remote Lancing websites that serve representative machinery images may receive normal web-request data when your browser loads those files. The homepage video is served from this website.

Why we use the information

  • To respond to machinery enquiries and clarify technical requirements.
  • To prepare a machine shortlist, quotation, trial or project proposal requested by you.
  • To maintain the security, availability and integrity of the website and enquiry service.
  • To keep appropriate business, contractual, tax and legal records.
  • To establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary.

Lawful bases

Depending on the context, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform a contract, to comply with a legal obligation, or for Lancing Ltd’s legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, operating its website and protecting its systems. Where consent is the appropriate basis, you can withdraw it for future processing.

Who may receive the information

Information may be handled by staff who need it to respond, and by service providers supporting website hosting, email, IT security or business administration. Where needed to answer a requested project, relevant technical information may be shared with an equipment supplier, integration partner or adviser. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to protect legal rights.

For details about a service provider or international transfer that may apply to a particular enquiry, contact Lancing Ltd using the details below. The enquiry form is not connected to an advertising platform.

How long information is kept

Enquiry and project information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for follow-up, quotation, contract, support, tax, warranty, dispute and legal-record requirements. Retention periods vary with the project and applicable obligations; information that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

Anti-spam rate and duplicate records are short-lived operational records. Rate-limit events are normally kept for up to one hour and duplicate fingerprints for up to six hours, subject to temporary-directory maintenance by the host.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights to be informed, to access your personal data, to correct inaccurate data, to request erasure or restriction, to object, to receive portable data, and to raise concerns about solely automated decisions. These rights are not all absolute and exemptions may apply.

To make a request, email sales@lancinguk.com. Lancing Ltd may need to verify identity before disclosing or changing information.

Complaints

Please contact Lancing Ltd first so the issue can be investigated. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Current guidance and contact routes are available on the ICO website.

Security

Reasonable organisational and technical safeguards are used to protect enquiry data. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so sensitive product, personal or safety information should not be submitted unless it is necessary and an appropriate route has been agreed.

Changes to this notice

The notice may be updated when the website, service providers or legal requirements change. The revision date at the top identifies the current version.
